INTRODUCTION

Welcome to my e-Portfolio.

Hi, everyone! I am Delia Torres and it’s my pleasure to meet you. I graduated from Edcouch-Elsa High School and obtained my Bachelors of Business Administration/Secondary Education Degree from University of Texas Pan American. I have been in the teaching profession since 1982. I have taught in the following school districts at the secondary level grades: Edcouch-Elsa, Santa Rosa, and Donna.

Currently at Donna High School, I am teaching Business Information Management I (BIM),   BIM 2/Concurrent (South Texas College), and Problems & Solutions/Concurrent (STC).  I have tremendously enjoyed teaching and being around my students at Donna High School.  I look forward to the challenges of the Master Teacher Technology (MTT) Program which will provide an opportunity to develop instructional material (performance based projects) by using Web 2.0 technology tools for classroom instruction and to collaborate with other teachers.

During May 2012, I passed the MMT exam, thus, I now have credentials as a Master Teacher Technology in the state of Texas. Currently, I am pursuing my Masters Degree in Eudcational Technology.

Through this e-Portfolio, I will display the course projects that were required to be developed as part of the criteria of the Master Teacher Technology Program-University of Texas-Brownsville.

Click on the hyperlinks above (Reflection Letter, Matrix, Courses Taken, and Contact Me) to navigate and learn about my adventures in the Master Teacher Technology Program. The link Courses Taken will take you to the four courses required for the Master Teacher Technology Certification and the projects that I created for EDTC 6340 and EDTC 6341 courses.

Note: Use this page to describe the contents of your e-Portfolio.
